To provide a thermal type flowmeter of which structure is simplified and of which cost can be reduced.
A pipe body 11 in which a fluid flows is formed to have a uniform circular cross-section in a direction orthogonal to a flowing direction of the fluid. Plural resistance elements 13, 14 are arranged in the pipe body 11. Wire diameters of the resistance elements 13, 14 are set in different size values, and heat radiation quantities to the fluid are different in values thereof. A control circuit 18 judge-determines a kind of the fluid based on a difference between the heat radiation quantities of the resistance elements 13, 14, and calculates the flow rate of the fluid based on the difference between the heat radiation quantities and the kind of the fluid.
