Title:
THERMALLY BONDING FABRIC AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3679172
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain thermally bonding fabric capable of effectively applying the pressure in heat bonding to bonding, free from transfer of an adhesive to the surface of base fabric, excellent in adhesive force and the appearance of the base fabric and useful for interior material, etc., for automobiles by applying a hot-melt adhesive in a spot-like state to one face of the base fabric in which a synthetic resin is impregnated.
SOLUTION: A hot-melt adhesive 6 is applied in a spot-like state to a base fabric 1 (e.g. knit fabric or nonwoven fabric made of a synthetic fiber, natural fiber, inorganic fiber, etc.) in which a synthetic resin such as a thermosetting resin (e.g. a phenol resin or an epoxy resin) is impregnated. The thermally bonding fabric is obtained by spraying and applying a dispersion obtained by dispersing powder of hot-melt adhesive 6 in a water solution in which a stringy thickener such as sodium polyacrylate is dissolved to one face of the base fabric 1 in which a synthetic resin is impregnated and drying the dispersion.
