Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase the color reproducibility and image density of the title photosensitive material by specifying the amt. of binders coated.

CONSTITUTION: The title photosensitive material has two or more photosensitive layers having different color sensitivities, the total amt. of binders contained in the photosensitive material except the back layer is ≤7g/m2 and the total amt. of binders contained in the photosensitive layers is ≤50wt.% of said total amt. Gelatin (deriv.) and a (co)polymer contg. repeating units represented by formula I or II may be used as the binders. In formulae I, II, R1 is H, 1W6C alkyl, etc., X1 is -COO-, phenylene, etc., R11 is alkylene, phenylene, etc., M is H or an alkali metal and each of (l) and (a) is 0 or 1.
