PURPOSE: To raise power generation efficiency and to lower noises in a thermoelectric generator generating by heating an alignment face on hot temperature side of P and N thermoelectric elements connected in parallel thermally and in series electrically, cooling an alignment face on cold temperature side, and providing a temperature difference between the alignment faces.

CONSTITUTION: An alignment face on hot temperature side of a thermoelectric element of a thermoelectric generating unit 10 is heated by hot gas, an absorption cooling unit 20 heated and operated by waste heat of the hot gas is provided, and an alignment face on low temperature side of the thermoelectric element is cooled by low temperature generated at the absorption cooling unit 20.
