Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make an elastic seal spool which engages the push rod extremely thin and to prevent external liquid from entering the elastic seal spool by setting the thickness of the side wall of the center hole of the elastic seal spool to 20 - 5% of the diameter of the push rod. CONSTITUTION:A guide member 2 and the elastic seal spool 3 which engage the push rod 1 are united and inserted into a heat sensitive cylinder 5 where wax 4 is filled, and the upper part of the heat sensitive cylinder 5 is pressed to constitute the thermoactuator. A snap ring 6 is inserted into the groove of the push rod 1 to prevent the push rod 1 from striking the bottom of the seal spool 3. Then the thickness of the seal spool 3 is set to 20 - 5% of the diameter of the push rod 1. Consequently, if negative pressure is generated in the spool 3, the internal wall of the spool 3 is sucked to the push rod 1, so the external liquid is completely prevented from entering the spool.
