Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a high-temperature thermoelectric material with a high efficiency by containing a metal matrix and a dispersion material being dispersed into the metal matrix and constituting the dispersion material with a substance that differs from the metal matrix.
SOLUTION: Ni oxide powder, Cu oxide powder, and aluminum oxide powder are weighed so that a weight ratio is 1:1:0.3 and the mixed powder of a uniform dispersion is adjusted and then an n-type thermoelectric material 1 is manufactured by hot-press machining, thus obtaining a thermoelectromotive force of 18 mV at a temperature difference of 300°C as compared with a room temperature. Ni powder, Cr powder, and aluminum oxide powder are weighed so that a weight ratio is 9:1:0.42 and a raw material powder that is uniformly dispersed is adjusted and then a p-type thermoelectric material 2 is manufactured by hot-press machining, thus obtaining 9 mV thermoelectromotive force. The n-type thermoelectric material and the p-type thermoelectric material are used, thus manufacturing a thermoelectric element. 1.5 kW output for the matching load of the thermoelectric element is obtained in a temperature difference of 0 and 500°C, thus manufacturing a high-temperature thermoelectric material with a high efficiency.
