Abstract:
To provide a thermophysical property measurement device and a thermophysical property measurement method capable of easily obtaining a highly accurate absolute thermoelectric power or thermal conductivity at much lower costs.SOLUTION: A thermophysical property measurement device 1 comprises: a measurement part 3 for applying an AC voltage or AC currents to metal to which a temperature gradient is imparted to measure a first temperature change at a central section of the metal, and for applying to metal DC voltages having different polarities, which are equal to an effective value of the AC voltage or DC currents which are equal to an effective value of the AC currents to measure a second temperature change at the central section of the metal; and an arithmetic part 4 for calculating a Thomson coefficient from a rate of the second temperature change to the first temperature change, and for calculating at least one of the absolute thermoelectric power or thermal conductivity of the metal by using the calculated Thomson coefficient.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
