Abstract:
To provide a self-lubricating low-abrasive composition which comprises a thermoplastic polymer and a lubricating system and is suitable as a molding resin for producing molded articles.
This self-lubricating polymer composition is characterized by comprising a melt blend of a thermoplastic polymer with a lubricating system, wherein the lubricating system comprises ultrahigh mol. wt. polyethylene, a polyester, an acid metal salt, a calcium salt, an antioxidant and a stabilizer. A molded article exhibiting improved surface abrasion resistance and improved frictional coefficient can be produced from the composition.
