To provide a thermoplastic polyurethane having a desired combination of physical properties.
The thermoplastic polyurethane composition includes the reaction product of: a polyester polyol having a number average of molecular weight of about 500 to about 5,000; about 1 to about 50 pts.wt. of a polyether co-polyol per 100 pts.wt. of the total amount of the polyol; a polyisocyanate having formula R(NCO)n where n is an integer of 2 to 4 and R is aromatic, cycloaliphatic, aliphatic, or a combination thereof having 2 to about 20 carbon atoms; a symmetrical chain extender; and about 1 to about 50 moles of a co-chain extender per 100 moles of the symmetric chain extender. The molar ratio of the co-chain extender to the weight percent of the polyether polyol is about 0.1 to about 10.
