Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic high water absorptive fiber capable of production by melting spinning, capable of passing a process mediated by water or steam and providing continuous fiber stably without reducing water absorbing powder even when a salt exists.SOLUTION: There is provided a thermoplastic high water absorptive fiber having a composite type cross section obtained by arranging one of a thermoplastic water absorptive polyurethane elastomer resin and a mixed resin obtained by mixing the thermoplastic water absorptive polyurethane elastomer resin and a thermoplastic water non-absorptive polyurethane elastomer resin on a core part and a thermoplastic water non-absorptive resin to cover the core part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
