Title:
THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3575152
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic resin composition which can give moldings having excellent coatability and impact resistance by mixing a resin composition comprising a saturated polyester resin and a rubber-reinforced styrene resin with a dipentaerythritol fatty acid ester.
SOLUTION: This composition comprises 100 pts.wt. resin composition comprising 15-50wt.% saturated polyester resin and 50-85wt.% rubber-reinforced styrene resin and 0.2-5.0 pts.wt. dipentaerythritol fatty acid ester [e.g. an ester represented by the formula (wherein R1 and R2 are each OH or OCOR3; and R3 is C17H35)]. IN producing various parts, etc., from the compositionthey are usually coated in order to impart thereto decorativeness, weather resistance, durability, etc. It is required in this case that they have impact resistance and firmly adhered difficulty peelable coating films thereon. The above composition can give moldings excellent in coatability and impact resistance.
