PURPOSE: To obtain the composition consisting of a specific modified olefin resin and a polyphenylene ether in specific quantities, respectively, having improved heat resistance, solvent resistance, moldability, coating suitability, printability, etc., useful for automotive parts, electric components, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The composition consists of (A) 90-40wt.% of a modified olefin resin obtained by grafting an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester having hydroxyl groups such as 2-hydroxyethyl (meth)acrylate, etc., and an aromatic vinyl compound to a crystaline olefin resin and (B) 10-60wt.% of a polyphenylene ether having hydroxyl groups such as a hydroxyalkylated polyphenylene ether, etc., of formula I [Q1 is halogen, primary or secondary alkyl, aryl, etc.; Q2 is H, halogen, primary or secondary alkyl, etc.; (m) ≥10; (r) is 1-10] or formula II (R1 is 1-10C alkylene).
