Abstract:
To provide a thermoplastic resin for hermetically sealed containers being transparent and developing excellent appearance even when changing the thickness, excellent in barrier property of water vapor and having good moldability, heat resistance, low water absorption, impact resistance, optical characteristics, etc.
The thermoplastic resin for hermetically sealed containers is characterized in that the dihydric phenol residue represented by general formula (1) is included and the total light transmittance in about 1 mm thickness is 80% and 99% and the water vapor transmittance in 50 m thickness is 1 g/m2/24 hr and 35 g/m2/24 hr under measuring conditions of 40C temperature and 90% relative humidity.
