Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a macromolecular copolymer which comprises a thermoplastically processible polyesteramide, is excellent in biodegradability and mechanical properties, and can be discarded in the soil by forming a copolymer containing an aliphatic ester structure and an aliphatic amide structure each in a specified percentage and having a specified melting point.
CONSTITUTION: This copolymer contains 30-70 wt.% aliphatic ester structure and 70-30 wt.% aliphatic amide structure, with a melting point of at least 75°C (e.g. a polyesteramide obtained from adipic acid, 1,4-butanediol and 6- aminocaproic acid and having a melting point of 127°C). It is preferably used for the production of a film and a molded article.
