Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a thermoreversible polymer compound composed of a (crosslinked) copolymer of a specific vinyl compound, exhibiting reversible transition phenomenon by thermal stimulation and expected to be useful as a temperature sensor, separation membrane, etc.
CONSTITUTION: This polymer compound is a copolymer composed of (A) 50-99.99mol% of a vinyl compound of the formula I (R1 is 2-4C alkyl) and (B) 0.01-50mol% of a vinyl compound of the formula II {R2 is H or methyl; R3 is H, COOH, COOM (M is alkali metal), CH2COOH or CH2COOM; X is COOH, COOM, COR4 (R4 is 1-6C alkyl), COOR4, COOR5OH [R5 is (alkyl-substituted) 1-6C alkylene], etc., when R3 is H and X is COOH or COOM when R3 is not H} or a crosslinked copolymer obtained by crosslinking the copolymer with (C) a crosslinking agent. The C/(A+B) molar ratio in the case of forming the crosslinked copolymer is 70/30 to 0.0001/99.999, preferably 10/90 to 0.0005/99.9995.
