PURPOSE: To perform optimum thermosensitive recording in various recording density modes from a low-temperature environment to a high-temperature environment.
CONSTITUTION: A control circuit 6 reads respective corrected values set from a dot correction table 20, cycle correction table 21 and temperature correction table 22 corresponding to the information quantity of signals for driving a thermal head 16, selected recording density mode and environmental temperature. While using the respective corrected values, a strobe width is operated by a number '1' expression. A strobe signal having the strobe width calculated from (dot corrected value + cycle corrected value-temperature corrected value) is generated from a driving circuit 17, time to drive the heat generating element of the thermal head 16 is limited, and image information is stably recorded and printed onto thermosensitive paper.
