To provide a thermosensitive recording medium that reduces coating defects, is superior in printing density, coloration sensitivity (printing density under a low-applied-energy condition), and traveling property of printing by a thermal printer, has high heat resistance of a non-print part (blank part), and uses a plastic film as a support.
By using a plastic film as a support, providing a thermosensitive recording layer and a protective layer as an outermost layer in that order, and by having this protective layer contain an acrylic resin and a polyolefin resin, normal performance with respect to water resistance etc., required of such a thermosensitive recording medium is exhibited, and it is possible to prevent the occurrence of coating defects. Further, the thermosensitive recording medium is superior in printing density, coloration sensitivity (printing density under a low-applied energy condition), and traveling property of printing by a thermal printer, and has high heat resistance of a non-print part (blank part).
