Abstract:
To provide a thickening composition that stably has desired viscousness (thickening properties), particularly a thickening composition suitable for a topical composition.SOLUTION: A thickening composition has (A) an acrylate/acrylic acid copolymer composed of an acrylate represented by [A1] (R1: H or a C1-6 alkyl. m: 2-4) and an acrylic acid represented by [A2] (R2: H or a C1-6 alkyl) with the ratio between [A1] and [A2] being [A1]/[A2]=2:98-6:94, (B) one water-soluble compound selected from agar, water-soluble cellulose, glucomannan, and succinoglycan, (C) electrolyte, and (E) water.SELECTED DRAWING: None
