Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition which is useful as an adhesive which can be applied for a decorative laminate considerably long before the decorative laminate is bonded to a substrate by incorporating a specific terpolymer and a thermosetting resin.
SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by incorporating (A) a terpolymer which has a melting point lower than the curing temperature of component B, preferably lower by 10°C or more, more preferably lower by about 30-40°C, and is derived from (I) α-olefin, (II) carbon monoxide, and (III) an ethylene-based unsaturated carboxylic acid ester monomer, and (B) a thermosetting resin. Ethylene or the like is preferably used as component I. Phenol resin, melamine resin, or the like is preferably used as component B. It is preferable that contents in component A of component I, component II, and component III are about 40-95 wt.%, about 1-15 wt.%, and about 4-45 wt.%, respectively.
