Abstract:

To provide a thin film electrode in which volume change is reduced by preventing formation of wrinkles of the current collector accompanying the charge and discharge, and its manufacturing method, and a lithium secondary battery having high cycle characteristics using this thin film electrode.

This is the thin film electrode which comprises a current collector formed of a metal that is not alloyed with Li and a thin film that is formed on the surface of the current collector and contains an element alloying with Li. In the thin film electrode, the current collector has irregularities and the effective thickness d of the current collector is 15 μm or more and 300 μm or less. The manufacturing method of the thin film electrode comprises a step in which irregularities are formed on the current collector composed of a metal that is not alloyed with Li so that the effective thickness of the current collector may be 15 μm or more and 300 μm or less and a step in which a thin film containing an element alloying with Li is formed on the surface of the current collector.
