To improve release voltage, form factor, saturation current, and efficiency of a microcrystal solar cell.
The crystal particles at an initial stage in film-forming of an i layer of a microcrystal Si formed on a first dope layer 4 counter-dopes only a region 51 growing in a growth plane direction. The counter doping amount is preferred to be gradually decreased.
