Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost connector, easy to make thinner, fit for connecting thereto a small-sized thin-type card, and reliably locked without impairing operability while its cover is shut down.
SOLUTION: The cover 12 used for press-connecting a connection companion to a contact 16 held on a housing 11 is held on the housing turnably in a first direction and movably in a second direction crossing the first direction. Lock parts 14 and 21 used for keeping the cover in a connected state engage with each other in a direction opposite to the first direction and in the second direction. When the connection partner is released, the lock parts are disengaged and moved in the second direction by turning the cover in the first direction, thereby the connection companion is allowed to be released.
