Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide titled agent capable of improving the fluidity and stability of titled slurry, comprising a specific (coupled) polyether and a starch derivative.

CONSTITUTION: The objective thinning agent comprising (A) (i) a polyether prepared by adding an alkylene oxide to a compound having in one molecule, at least one active hydrogen (the optimum number being ≥5), or (ii) a coupled polyether from at least two of the component (i), each having a molecular weight of 6,000W600,000 (pref. 10,000W300,000), and (B) a starch derivative (e.g., a sulfated starch, polyoxy-ethylens starch). The amount of this agent to be added is normally 0.01W0.5 (pref. 0.03W2.0)wt%.
