To provide highly practical thinning scissors giving no discomfort to a person having hair cut by pulling or damaging the hair and allowing a hairdresser to constantly lightly cut the hair without feeling a resistance.
The thinning scissors are openably/closably constituted by pivoting a blade plate 2 formed with a blade edge 1 and a comb-like blade plate 5 projectingly having a plurality of comb teeth 3 in an aligned state via grooves, at an intersection part of both blade plates 2 and 5. The side edge shape of the comb tooth 3 is so defined that a groove bottom part 8 between comb teeth 3 becomes wider compared with the groove opening part 9, the broad groove bottom 8 is provided with a flat bottom edge part 10 approximately in parallel to the alignment direction of the comb teeth 3, and side edge base end sides of the left/right comb teeth 3 adjoined to the groove 4 are provided with concave-curved angle edge parts 11 for smoothly connecting the side edge 3a of the comb teeth 3 to the flat bottom edge part 10.
