To provide thinning scissors which are formed by openably connecting a pair of crossing scissor bodies with a pivot, and in which both scissor bodies include arc-shaped blade parts using the pivot as a curvature center and grooves between the blade parts for forming comb teeth, and in which the blade parts and the grooves of both blade bodies are engaged when the scissors are closed, the thinning scissors preventing the edges of the blade tips of the blade parts, which project into the grooves, from being caught in the hair while handling the scissors.

The blade parts 11a and 12a are formed so as to be narrower toward the blade tips. The grooves 11b and 12b are formed so as to be wider toward openings of the blade tips.
