NEW MATERIAL: A compd. represented by formula I {wherein A is a group represented by formula II (wherein X is O or S) or groups represented by formula III, IV [wherein P5 is (halogenated) 1-5C alkyl], R1-R3 are H or halogen, R4 is halogen, 1-3C halogenoalkyl or nitro, (n) is 0-2 and (m) is 1-4. However, (R4)m is not halogen and nitro in a single bond}, and a salt useful for agriculture thereof when A is the group represented by the formula II.
EXAMPLE: N-(2-chlorobenzoyl)-N'-[4-(2-chloro-4-trifluoromethyl-1-phenylmercapto) phenyl]urea.
USE: This new material is used as a miticide or an insecticide, and an effective amt. of the material is applied to mites or harmful insects of a plant, a culture ground surface of a substrate permitting them to spread to control them.
PROCESS: For example, a compd. represented by formula V and a compd. represented by formula VI are reacted with each other in a solvent such as anhydrous toluene to obtain the compd. represented by the formula I wherein A is the group represented by the formula II.
