PURPOSE: To provide a display system with which a stereoscopic image can be displayed while reducing the feeling of fatigue without contradicting congestion and focus control and cost performance is improved by always moving a display plane to the position watched by an observer by detecting a glance.
CONSTITUTION: The watched position is judged by detecting the glance of the observer and a display plane 4 is moved to the discriminated watched position. A lens 2 having a focal distance (f) is arranged in front of an eyeball 1, further, a display 3 for displaying a real image is arranged away from the lens 2 for a distance (x), and the display plane 4 for a virtual image is provided away from the lens 2 for a distance (d). Thus, since the weight of an object to be moved can be reduced in the case of displaying the virtual image, the display plane 4 can be moved at high speed. Since the virtual image is considerably moved by slightly moving the display corresponding to optical parts, a moving distance can be amplified. The merit such as no change in the view angle on the display plane 4 caused by the movement can be provided.
