PURPOSE: To obtain the title fabric with increased mechanical strength by alternately intersecting a pair of split yarns arranged parallel with tension differing magnitude with the resultant openings arranged continuously and by inserting both weft and warp into these openings and holding said weft and warp with said pair of split yarns in a sandwiched fashion.

CONSTITUTION: A vertical yarn Z made up of a pair of split yarns Z1 and Z2 arranged parallel with tension differing in magnitude is alternately intersected with the resultant openings arranged continuously, and both weft X and warp Y such as of carbon fiber or aramid fiber are successively inserted into the above openings and held said pair of split yarns in a sandwiched fashion, thus obtaining the objective three-dimensional fabric in which waves of said weft and warp to alternately be developed vertically have been suppressed.
