PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fast initialize a Z buffer and a frame buffer which are used for hidden-surface erasure by providing a memory part with a valid flag buffer and background buffer, etc., and performing pseudo initialization. SOLUTION: A memory part 130 has a frame buffer 310 which stores image information of a final image, a Z buffer 320 which stores depth information, a background buffer 330 which stores each pixel of background information and a valid flag buffer 300 that shows whether write to each pixel occurs. A maximum value setting part 360 outputs a maximum depth value when bits of the buffer 300 which correspond to a depth value is reset in reading a depth value of the buffer 320. A selecting part 370 for a DA converting part refers to the bits of the buffer 300 that corresponds to an output and outputs either the buffer 310 or the buffer 330 when a DA converting part 140 outputs.
