Abstract:

To conduct circumferential rendering by conducting texture mapping for the three-dimensionally-shaped model of an object of interest based on video photographed the object of interest.

A three-dimensional modeling apparatus is configured as follows. A camera position/attitude calculating section 14 calculates position/attitude information on an image input device 4 by referring to a time series change in information on a plurality of positions in an image with the object of interest photographed as a moving image or a time-series continuous image sequence by movement of the image input device 4. An image-corresponded position/attitude association section 15 associates the position/attitude information with each image. A model position/attitude-based rendering information calculating section 16 renders the three-dimensionally-shaped model corresponding to each position/attitude information registered on a database 11. A texture projection information calculating section 17 projects and displays the image in the image sequence corresponding to each position/attitude information based on the association at and on the three-dimensionally-shaped model.
