Abstract:
To suppress vibration of a joint generated accompanying the movement of a head.SOLUTION: A three-dimensional object printer includes: a head which discharges liquid to a three-dimensional workpiece; and a robot which has an arm and a base section connected to an end of the arm and changes a relative position between the workpiece and the head. The arm has a tip which is the other end of the arm and supports the head and a plurality of joints. A first printing operation is executed so as to move the position of the head by the robot while discharging liquid from the head. The head is moved to be separated from the base section during the execution of the first printing operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
