Abstract:

PURPOSE: To achieve shaping by irradiating a curable resin with light according to three-dimensional shape slice data by a liquid crystal shutter to cure the same and successively lowering the resin by the thickness corresponding to a slice pitch by an elevator.
CONSTITUTION: When three-dimensional shape data 13 enters a data processor 10 from a three-dimensional CAD 11, it is formed into parallel slice data at a predetermined slice pitch and the slice data is sent to an elevator control unit 16 and a liquid crystal shutter control unit 17 and the upper surface of a work stand 19 is successively controlled downwardly by the thickness corresponding to the slice pitch from the liquid surface of a photosetting resin with respect to an elevator 18. When the slice data 15 of the lowermost part is received, a liquid crystal shutter 22 is driven and the image drawn on the data 15 is drawn on the shutter 22. By this drawing, parallel light 23 passes through a shaping part by the liquid crystal shutter 22 to cure the resin 21 to shape three-dimensional matter.
