Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain three-dimensional woven fabric which is given a desirable fiber orientation as a preform for fitting materials using a simple means utilizing the filament-winding process, thus can develop sufficient reinforcing effect and provide a weaving method therefor.

CONSTITUTION: This three-dimensional woven fabric for reinforcing fitting material 1 comprises the supporting hole parts 2 and the supporter 4 and they are integrally connected. This woven fabric 1 has a cylindrical inner peripheral part 10 formed by helically winding up a fiber bundle and the outer part composed of the wound part 22 formed by helically winding up a fiber bundle as it includes the inner peripheral part 10 inside in tightly bonded state and an extension 23 for forming the supporting part 4. The extension for the supporter is compressed flat in the form of the supporter and the space inside the outer part is filled with a filler 30.
