Abstract:
To solve the following problems: in a three-dimensional forming through a powder bed fusing and coupling method, voids may be unintentionally formed inside a formed article during a forming process; if the voids exist inside the formed article, the intensity of the formed article is degraded, which results in making the formed article fragile; and although there is a method for detecting the voids thereinside by irradiating the formed article with laser beam to generate elastic waves, sufficient sensitivity cannot be obtained and resolution and accuracy in a detecting position are low.SOLUTION: A formed article is irradiated with an X ray from an X-ray generator (141) to detect a transmission quantity by an X-ray detector (143). Whether or not there exists a region in which the substantial thickness of piled articles is smaller than a designed thickness, by using a transmission quantity detection value, density information of the formed article, an absorption coefficient of the formed article to radioactive ray, and designed thickness information of the article. If the region is detected, the surface shape of the formed article is measured with an illuminator (151) and an imager (152) and a determination is made on whether the void is inside or on the surface of the formed article. If there is a void inside the formed article, a molten material is filled in the void for correction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
