Abstract:
PURPOSE: To detect abnormality positively even during the action of a DC motor and deal with it rapidly by detecting throttle abnormality on the basis of the fluctuation quantity of actual torque generated by the DC motor driven according to the depressed quantity of an accelerator pedal.
CONSTITUTION: When the specified time has elapsed from the preceding judgment, the A/D converted value of the throttle opening of a throttle valve 3 at the time (n) is obtained. The motor angular velocity of a DC motor 12 is obtained from the difference between the present value and the preceding value, and the motor angular acceleration is obtained from the difference between the present value and the preceding value. The A/D converted value of a motor current at the time (n) is then obtained, and the estimated load torque of the DC motor 12 is obtained from the difference between the A/D converted value and the motor angular acceleration. The load torque fluctuation quantity is obtained from the difference between the estimated load torque and the preceding estimated load torque, and when the load torque fluctuation quantity is not less than a throttle abnormality judgment constant determined by nominal maximum load torque, the throttle valve 3 is judged to be in a fixed state. On the other hand, when the load torque fluctuation quantity is not more than the throttle abnormality judgment constant determined by the nominal minimum load torque, a return spring 14 is judged to be broken.
