To prevent slippage of a throw away tip at clamping time without increasing the number of components in a throw away type side cutter.
The throw away tip 6 is removably mounted to a tip mounting seat 5 formed on the outer periphery of a disk-like cutter body 1 by projecting and inserting the cutting edge 6e to the outer peripheral side. A clamp screw mounting seat 8 having openings 8a in both side surfaces 3 and 4 of the cutter body 1, a recessed part 8b recessed in the inner peripheral side, and a screw hole 8d extending from the bottom surface 8c of the recessed part 8b to the inner peripheral side is formed in the outer periphery of the cutter body 1 adjacently to the tip mounting seat 5 with an interval in the circumferential direction of the tip mounting seat 5. By screwing a clamp screw 9 into the screw hole 8d of the clamp screw mounting seat 8, a wall part 10 partitioned between the recessed part 8b and the tip mounting seat 5 is pressed by a head 9b of the clamp screw 9 to elastically deform on the tip mounting seat 5 side.
