Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a throwaway tip which has a wide range of chip processing and stable chip processing performance.
CONSTITUTION: A projection part 42 projecting in the direction of a corner part 22 of a throwaway tip and a projection part 47 (80) projecting beyond it are provided. An upper face 52 of a projection part 46 is inclined, the plane shape of the projection part 42 is formed into the particular shape, and the projection part is formed into the spherical shape. Thus, as the projection part exists near the corner part 22, narrow chips at low cutting can be securely processed. Also, as there is the projection part 42 in the rear of the projection part 46, chips at high cutting can be processed by this projection part 42.
