Abstract:
PURPOSE: To separate a cable by fixing a separation plate and a cable so as not to move with tools comprising a relatively hard material and an elastomer material and disposed on both sides of a separation plate and moving one of the tools in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION: Bottom plates 30F, 30M can be soft steel or tool steel and a groove is suitably worked. Top plates 36F, 36M have internal grooves into which elastomer members are fitted and projections 42F, 42M having the shape of fastening a cable. Cable separating plates 50, 52 as well as first fastening tool parts 30F through 42F and second fastening tool parts 30M through 42M are closed with respect to the cable. Next, the second fastening tool parts 30M through 42M are moved to the left in the axial direction and the cable separating plates 50, 52 are kept stationary together with the first fastening tool parts 30M through 42M, thereby removing the external cover of a cable.
