PURPOSE: To provide a tile forming mold capable of forming a dovetail grooved recess on a rear face of a tile simultaneously with molding of the tile.

CONSTITUTION: In a tile forming mold, either a lower mold 1 or an upper mold 4 or both of them are placed in proper positions in the tile mold, and a proper elastic body is provided such that a head part 7A opens widely when the upper mold 4 and the lower mold 1 are closed so as to pressure porcelain powder, and a reversed trapezoid i.e., a dovetail grooved recess 6B is formed on a rear face of a tile at molding the tile.
