To prevent water flowing along the outer surface of a hanging part of a tile, from sticking to a verge-board as much as possible even if not forming a clearance between the inner surface of the hanging part and the verge-board.

A tile 1 comprising a tile body 10 and a hanging part 11 suspending downward from one side part of the tile body 10, is laid to cover an upper part Ea of a verge E with the tile body 10 and to cover a side part Eb of the verge E with the hanging part 11. A level difference part 11b is provided on the lower end 11d side of the hanging part 11 and on the outer surface side of the hanging part 11 over the whole length of the hanging part 11 to form a level difference surface 11i facing downward and to form the outer surface of the hanging part 11 above the level difference surface 11i as a level difference upper surface 11c while forming a step lower surface 11e between the level difference surface 11i and the lower end 11d of the hanging part 11. The level difference surface 11i is formed obliquely upward from an outer corner 11f between the level difference surface 11i and the level difference upper surface 11c toward an inner corner 11g between the level difference surface 11i and the level difference lower surface 11e.
