Title:
TILT-UP HANDLE SYSTEM FOR OUTERBOARD MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6047796
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform tilt-up work easily with stable attitude, by providing a tilt- up handle extending upward rollably on the bottom cowling.

CONSTITUTION: A tilt-up handle 64 is comprised of a pair of arms 68 rollable up and down and journaled through a shaft 66 in the vicinity of the fitting face 62 at the rear of the bottom cowling 58 and a grip coupled to the front end of arm 68. When tilting up, tilt-clock is released and the operator will mount his leg or legs on the upper edge of stern board 52 then hold the grip to pull a handle at the inside of boat horizontally. The handle 64 is at the position sufficiently higher than the tilt shaft 56 to enable inward pulling of handle 64 with full weight thus to facilitate tilting up. The attitude is also stabilized because the body is at the inside of boat at any time.
