PURPOSE: To eliminate mental irritation to a passenger by providing a departure time computing means for calculating time from the arrival of an elevator to the departure thereof, and a waiting time indicating means for indicating a waiting time every moment on time indicating section in an elevator cage.

CONSTITUTION: A departure time computing device 23 receives necessary elevator data, sequentially, which are stored in predetermine areas in memory 22, and reads a necessary data from one of these areas in the memory 23 every predetermined cycle so as to compute a departure time in accordance with program data. Thus obtained departure time is set on a memory counter in a waiting time output section 32 for succeeding elevator cages, and the operation of a clock circuit 31 is initiated as necessary. The clock circuit 31 delivers a count-down signal every predetermined time after the initiation of the operation so as to sequentially count down the count value on the above-mentioned memory counter. Further, the waiting time output section 32 reads the count value on the memory counter every moment and converts the same into a signal which can be indicated and which is then indicated on a time indicating section 41.
