To provide a time stamp service system under policy in organization.
The time stamp service system for performing processing in relation to the time stamp includes a memory unit for storing previously a formation policy for forming at least the time stamp; a reception unit for receiving a request about the time stamp transmitted from a client unit and information containing the time stamp processing object; a specifying means for specifying the client unit of the request source and the type of data from the information received by the reception unit; a determining means for determining whether the request is a formation request for forming the time stamp or not; and a formation processing means for referring formation policy stored in the memory unit if it is the time stamp formation request as a result of the determining means and forming the time stamp to the received data according to the policy. The formed time stamp is answered to the client unit of the request source.
