Abstract:

To prove the existence of data to be proved over a long period of time.

A device 1 for updating time stamp has: a time stamp acquisition part 13 for transmitting a hush value calculated from the target data to time stamp station devices 3a, 3b, ..., 3n when the target data are input, receiving time stamp data from the time stamp station devices 3a, 3b, ..., 3n, in association with the target data, and storing them into a proof data storage part 15; and a time stamp verification part 12 for calculating a logical sum of an effective period of the time stamp data related to the proof target data, and outputting a period dating back from verification time as a period for proving the existence of the target data.
