PURPOSE: To enable the easy confirmation of a timing range by miniaturizing constitution, by providing a character corresponding to timing on the display surface of the frequency changing-over digital switch of a frequency dividing circuit for altering set timing.
CONSTITUTION: When the digital switch 63 of a timing setting part 6 is operated, the frequency dividing ratio of a variable frequency dividing circuit 3 is controlled to change a scale factor and set timing is altered. The set timing is confirmed by the character and dial of the graduated plate 62 corresponding to the scale factor provided to a switch 6 and a timing range is also confirmed by the character of the graduated plate 62. By this small constitution, a timer is easily and certainly subjected to the confirmation of the timing range.
