Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relatively accelerate the peak operating speed of a demodulator as a result by enabling high-accuracy and high-speed timing phase estimating operation almost equal with conventional operation even when the lower limit value of a sampling speed is lowered.
SOLUTION: A/D converting parts 3a and 3b sample a received baseband signal Sb with an asynchronous sampling clock CK of doubled symbol rate and on the basis of these sampled data sequences Ii and Qi, a transmission complex symbol frequency generating part 5 generates data sequences Ei and Di of transmission complex symbol frequency components. A correlative value calculating part 10 outputs a correlative data sequence SMi being the correlative value of a cosine wave data sequence Ci of a symbol frequency generated by a cosine wave generating part 9 on the basis of the asynchronous sampling clock CK and the data sequences Ei and Di. An inverse tangent calculating part 11 outputs a timing error τ on the basis of the correlative data sequence SMi.
