To provide a tip dresser capable of shaping an electric tip smoothly.

The tip dresser is composed of: a shaping tool 3 which has shaping recessed parts 19, 20 corresponding to the shape of the front end parts of electrode tips 1, 2 and which shapes the electrode tips 1, 2 by being rotated around an axial center, a screw member 8 arranged in parallel with the axial center of the shaping tool 3, a nut means 9 which is engaged with the screw groove on the screw member 8 and driven rotatively around the screw member 8 when the engaging position is shifted in an axial direction, a slider 7 which rotatably holds the nut means 9 and a shaping tool 3 and transmits the rotation of the nut member 9 to the shaping tool 3, and a guide shaft 6 which moves a spot-welding gun in the axial center direction in such a state that the electrodes 1, 2 are engaged with the shaping recessed parts 19, 20 of the shaping tool 3, for allowing the slider 7 to travel with the spot welding gun 4 in the axial center direction.
