Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce the tip dresser for cutting and shaping the electrode tip of a resistance welding machine, which has a simple construction, does not require a large hollow part and has excellent chip powder dischargability.
SOLUTION: The tip dresser is constructed so that opening parts 63, 63, which guides facing electrode tips, are arranged up/down, a hollow part 72 is arranged in a center part, a cutter holder 60 having a cutting blade 70 to shape the electrode tip and a rotation means to rotate the cutter holder in the hollow part 72 are arranged. In this case, a breaker 71 protruding into the hollow part 72 is arranged at a center part roughly at an equal distance from a blade face of up/down of a side face of the cutting blade 70 to shape a tip part of the facing electrode tips, the chip powder cut by the cutting blade 70 is separated by the breaker 71 and is discharged to the hollow part 72.
