Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and reliably prevent the rotation of a cutting insert around an insert axis with respect to an insert fitting seat.SOLUTION: A disc-shaped cutting insert 3 is detachably fitted to an insert fitting seat 4 that is formed in a tip outer periphery of a tool body rotating around a tool axis. The cutting insert 3 comprises: a pair of circular surfaces facing a direction of an insert axis C; a fitting hole 18 penetrating the cutting insert 3 in the direction of the insert axis C and positioned on the insert axis C; and a recess 19 formed on the other circular surface, which is seated on a fitting surface 4a facing the front of the tool rotation direction of the insert fitting seat 4, and recessed toward the side of one circular surface. The fitting surface 4a is provided with a projection 9 which is inserted to the recess 19 and engaged around the insert axis C. The projection 9 is disposed inside in a tool radial direction perpendicular to the tool axis with respect to the fitting hole 18 of the cutting insert 3 fitted to the insert fitting seat 4.
