PURPOSE: To clean the side face of a tire while the car travels by fixing a cleaning means to the car body so that the cleaning means is applied to the side face of the tire, and rotating the side face of the tire.

CONSTITUTION: Two roll brushes 1 held by roll brush holding bars 9 of a cleaning means holder 6 are fixed to a car body 4 so that they are applied to the side face of a tire in the radial direction of the tire 5. When the car travels, the tire 5 is driven to rotate (R) the side face 2 of the tire, so that the side face 2 is cleaned. Since the roll brushes 1 are rotated by rotation (rotation R) of the side face 2 of the tire with its position being fixed to the car body 4, fatigue and exhaustion of a part of feather bundle 8 of the roll brush do not occur, and thereby cleaning effect can be maintained for long time.
